What it means
A structured program that helps the patient regain physical, cognitive or emotional functions affected by cancer or its treatment. It includes physiotherapy, speech therapy and counseling.

- Cancer recovery
- A process of physical and mental recovery after active cancer treatment. It includes adapted physical activity, physiotherapy, and nutritional and psychological counseling to improve quality of life.
- Distress
- A state of emotional, social or spiritual suffering in the context of cancer. It is not a weakness but a normal reaction. Recognizing and assessing distress is part of standard cancer care.
- Life after treatment
- The transition period from active cancer treatment back to everyday life. It may involve fears of recurrence, persistent fatigue and difficulties with reintegration. Ongoing medical and psychological support is important.
