In short (2 lines)

OncoDots (oncodots.com) is a free web app, in Romanian and English, guiding cancer patients and their families through the first 90 days after diagnosis — plain-language information, organisation and emotional support, with no ads.

In full (one paragraph)

OncoDots is a free digital companion for cancer patients and their caregivers, built in Romania. The app runs straight from the browser on any phone and covers the hardest weeks — the first 90 days after diagnosis: a public library of plain-language guides, over 90 recipes adapted to treatment side-effects, a symptom journal that is easy to show the doctor, medication and appointment reminders, short guided-breathing exercises, caregiver guides — including the carer's rights under Romania's Law 24/2022 — and crisis, services and rights resources for Romania, Italy, the UK, Germany and the US, also serving the Romanian diaspora. OncoDots does not diagnose and does not recommend treatments: it always directs users to their medical team.

What the app offers

  • First steps after diagnosis

A calm guide for the first days: what comes next, what to ask the doctor, how to get organised.

  • Symptom journal

Track symptoms day by day and show them to the doctor at consultations.

  • Medication and appointments

Reminders for treatment and visits, so nothing slips through.

  • Breathing and calm

Short guided-breathing exercises (3 minutes) and a 90-day calm programme.

  • Nutrition during treatment

Simple recipes filtered by situation: nausea, appetite loss, swallowing difficulties.

  • For caregivers

Practical and emotional guides, the carer's legal rights, and a care circle for sharing tasks.

Press FAQ

How much does the app cost?

Nothing. OncoDots is free, has no ads and does not sell user data.

Is it a medical device? Does it diagnose?

No. OncoDots is an informational and organisational companion: it explains, helps prepare consultations and keeps records. It does not diagnose, does not recommend treatments, and always directs users to their medical team — and, in emergencies, to their country's emergency number.

Who is it for?

Adult cancer patients and, equally, the people caring for them — family and friends. Content is available in Romanian and English, with specific resources for Romania and for Romanians abroad (Italy, Spain, the UK, Germany, the US).

Where does the medical information come from?

From reference public sources (national cancer institutes, professional organisations, official legislation), cited at the end of each page. Legal content states its jurisdiction and the date its sources were verified.
